Fitness Personality Type Result Guide

If you got Mostly....:

A's: You are a SELF-STARTER.

Not only are you always motivated to get something done, you always are on the look out for ways to improve. Unfortunately that might mean you may get bored with certain activities easier and faster than most.

My advice:

Be a goal setter. No matter if it's a one week goal or a year goal, something to focus on instead of just going through a routine (boring) will make your workouts more meaningful and enjoyable.

Keep a cycle of workouts. Make sure your week is varied with different fitness classes, or different settings (water, park, gym, sports, etc.) to keep yourself away from a monotonous plan.

Get a Personal Trainer. Having a trainer will keep you motivated to set goals and will work with you to achieve them. Trainers are there for you, and can be as flexible as you need.

what you should try:

Race-oriented programs or Individual sports. Training for something will help you dedicate and set yourself to be more goal oriented and stick with something.

Strength Training. This will keep your solo self happy but will also allow flexibility to work with friends. Think about this option as a lot of short term goals to achieve at your own pace.

B's: You are a Fitness Flirt.

You might see getting fit and working out as your time to make and meet friends. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! Having more people go through your workout sessions with you might help push you through and will make it more enjoyable. Embrace your personality and try this:

My advice:

Sign up for exercise classes that you will attend regularly, people are creatures of habit and frequent class takers can soon become your friends!

Join an adult sports league or something where you can be part of an actual team and get moving. This will also indulge your competitive nature while keeping your inner chatty Kathy happy.

what you should try:

Fitness classes. Anything and everything! Keeping a constant attendance will help you build friendships as well.

Team sports. Even if you are not the best athlete, there is a team out there for you at your level.

Personal group training. Get a few of your friends together and sign up with a personal trainer as a group. Lower rates for everybody and you have an excuse to get fit & socialize!

C's: You are a FREEDOM FINDER.

You love spontaneity. Schedules and routine, especially when it comes to working out, are just not your thing. Though this keeps life fun and interesting, it might make it difficult to follow a plan and keep commitments. Seeing change and improvements take consistency, and that's what comes as a challenge for you, free spirit.

My advice:

Find something that has a variety of different exercises or dances. Changing up your regimen but keeping with the same people will help you stay accountable and committed.

Prepare for your free-spirited activities. Aim to train for something that really interests you, like hiking the outdoors or kayaking. The adventure end of the goal will keep you motivated, and the training will keep you consistent.

Find a like-minded-buddy down for anything. Though you don't like being tied down, they can always be an option for you to go on adventures with so you're not alone.

what you should try:

Circuit training. In one workout you complete many different exercises, so you never get tired of doing one particular thing. Combine this with strength training and cardio to keep it interesting.

Keep scheduling to a minimum. For instance, pick out days you can workout for the week but then leave the time up to you. This will help you avoid that trapped feeling, but still keep you accountable.

SIGN UP for outside activities. Or inside. Or anything. Signing up for classes or events or excursions will get you committed to something. Once you have your adventurous goal, tying down your workouts to prepare you for it won't be too difficult.
